Description:
Crabbs Peninsula is a long narrow finger of land which extends from the northeast coast of Antigua. It lies between Long Island and Guana Island, the fourth and fifth largest islands of Antigua and Barbuda, at the entrance to Parham Harbor.
The small settlement of Parham lies close to the base of the peninsula and Parham Harbor was once the island’s principal harbor and capital.
Cruiser Highlights:
Clearance facility at Crabbs Peninsula. Small shops for staples. Stroll through the town to view the church architecture. Buses run between Parham and the St. John’s East Bus Station from the morning until late afternoon.
Entrance Notes and Cautions:
There is a marked channel leading into the harbor from just off Maiden Island. The channel is easy to spot but do not attempt to enter or leave except under daylight conditions.

Docking
This is a well-sheltered anchorage. There is a shallow (5ft) berth at the jetty just east of Myers Cove and a hurricane hole in the mangroves on the southeastern side of the harbor with a 2m dredged entrance.
The best hurricane storage is at North Sound Marina, which has dedicated tie-downs.
