Description:

Saranda (Sarandë) is a popular holiday destination for both Albanians and foreign tourists - particularly from Italy -  who come to visit the Roman ruins of Butrint.

This port has the best facilities for visiting yachts at this time, however, there are not many berths available as it is a small port even though it has recently been extended.

Entrance Notes:

Saranda Harbor Master can be reached on VHF Ch. 11. Be sure to call on arrival.

Cruiser Highlights: 

Hire a care and visit the old town and castle of Gjirokastra, a UNESCO world heritage site.
