GSM roaming phone services operate. It is also possible to use a local SIM card or rent a local mobile phone.

Internet cafes and other internet access points are widely available. Free Internet and computers are available at most Post Offices in Korea.

Officials do not often use VHF radio and may not understand its proper international usage.
