Public transport is excellent and cheap. Even taxis are affordable in an emergency. Beware surcharges in the rush hour and at night, though. Establish the rough surcharge price before using. All taxis are metered, so no problems there.
One15 Marina has free shuttle buses, running every 15 minutes to HHarbourfrontVivo City - which is a large mall with food stores, restaurants and an MRT station.
