Port of Monaco - Docking

Jul 24, 2024

Call Port Control on VHF Channel 12 for instructions.

There are actually two ports in Monaco:

  • Port Hercule is the superyacht marina, nestled below the steeply-sided city, lined with restaurants and bars. This port has been in use since Roman Times. There are 30 visitor berths available for superyachts
  • Port Fontvieille, just around the headland, is much smaller but offers better protection, however this is a private port and there is not usually any space available for visitors.
  • Cap D'Ail, immediately to the west of the border, in France, is a small deep water port often with space for visiting yachts (up to 60m). This is a quieter alternative to Monaco.

Other ports close to Monaco:

Menton: Right by the Italian border. Two marinas with more competitive berthing rates. Port de Menton Garavan is the newer and larger of the two marinas (yachts up to 40m/3m draft). Port Municipal de Menton (also called Le Vieux Port), is the public port of Menton with 100 visitor berths (yachts up to 30m/6m draft.
