If coming from Tazania, Shimoni is the more convenient place to clear in.

Pre-Arrival:
Please attempt to advise Kilifi Boatyard [Kilifiboats@gmail.com] in advance of your intended arrival of the following:
• Name of vessel
• No of crew on board and gender
• Nationality
• Yellow fever vaccination status
The boatyard will use this information to pre-alert the authorities of your arrival and this will smooth your arrival procedure.
On Arrival:
Fly the yellow Q flag and do not get off the boat until given free pratique by Port Health.
Kilifi Boatyard will assist in your arrival paperwork with Port Health, Immigration and Customs at no charge, except for the statutory disbursements.

You will have to go to Malindi for Immigration. The taxi fare is USD$40 and you should allow half a day for this.
The mooring fee at Kilifi Boatyard is USD$5.00 per ft per month (for example: 32 ft x 5 = USD$160 per month).
