Kawaihae - Docking

Apr 08, 2021

Anchoring:

Yachts can anchor just north of the main harbor entrance in sand. Holding is good.

Moorings:

The commercial harbor has a few recreational moorings on the east side of the breakwater. Call the Honokohau Harbour Master to find out where/if there is a mooring available.

Dockage:

There is a new harbor to the south of the commercial harbor which has pontoons installed. The Harbormaster might have availability, but as space is limited it's offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Getting Ashore:

Dinghies can be landed near the boat launch ramp and there are a few places to eat and a convenience store within easy walking distance.
