YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

Fuel
Gib is the cheapest place to refuel before heading to Morocco or Europe and is tax-free (although note that in the Med, Tunisia probably has the cheapest fuel).
It is possible to visit Gibraltar to refuel without clearing-in. Be sure to fly the Gibraltar courtesy flag from the starboard spreader.
The Gibraltar fuel dock is signed ‘CEPSA’, it’s very easy to access and easy to dock. There are marineros to help you tie up.
Cooking Gas/LPG:
Refills not possible in Gib and crossing the border with bottles is not permitted. Ask the marina where you can rent a bottle from if staying for an extended period.
Bringing in Spares:
Gibraltar customs clearance is now all computerized, therefore a customs agent/shipping agent has to complete the online process. The fee is approx. £25 including £10 customs office fee for Temporary Imports, prior to delivery to yachts.
Smaller (Post Office) parcels have to be collected from the parcels office off the Queensway Quay roundabout. They deal with any customs duty on collection.
Tuna Nets:
Tuna nets are a hazard, especially in the spring and summer, as they are laid along the Spanish coast in the approaches to the Straits of Gibraltar, sometimes several miles offshore. Normally the nets have one or more fishing boats in attendance. The vessel on the seaward end of the net should fly a black flag with A on it by day, and two red lights, or red and white lights on each mast by night. Yachts should pass to seaward of the nets, which often extend 2-3 miles outwards, and float just below the surface. Yachts should not attempt to go between the inner marks and the shore.
