Gambia - Communications

The International Dialing Code for Gambia is +220.

There are GSM mobile telephone networks, but not all countries have roaming agreements.  US mobile phones will not work. Coverage is limited to Banjul and a few other areas.

For internet, the best solution is to buy a Sim Card or a Stick. The telephone company QCell is stationed in every big village and most of the time the internet will be fast enough for Skype. In the coastal area, it works very well.

Internet cafes are available in Banjul and the major tourist resorts.
