Qingdao, in China’s eastern Shandong province, is a port city bordering the Yellow Sea.  It is a major seaport and naval base as well as a commercial and financial centre, home to companies such as Haier and Hisense.

This is a beautiful seaside city with its skyscrapers, parks and beaches was formerly a colony of Germany and Japan so it has a great deal of European architecture. The red roofs, green trees, blue sea and azure sky form a bright and colorful picture, causing the city to be sometimes known as the Switzerland of the Orient.
