Description:
A deep-sea port located in the heart of Vancouver Island and approached via a long inlet from the Island's west coast. The town itself is divided by several ravines.
Cruiser Highlights:
Barkley Sound and the Broken Group, at the entrance to the inlet leading to Port Alberni have a wealth of anchorages to choose from. Pocket anchorages tucked into dramatic shorelines as well as commodious ones with space to let out lots of scope. Excellent fishing as well as many places to explore by kayak, SUP or dinghy.
