Local colorful “buses” go regularly to and from Fagatogo (walking distance from Anchorage), from early morning till 6 pm. No buses on Sunday. Fares vary from 50c to over a dollar depending on the distance. Some of them have very entertaining videos to keep passengers amused.

Take care on the roads when walking or bicycling as there have been many accidents.

The bus station is just beyond the fuel station, approx. 250 meters away from the Malaloa Marina.

Taxis are available 24/7.

There are flights to Honolulu, Auckland, Sydney, and Papeete

MYD Samoa no longer exists. It is now operated by the government. The email”[email protected]” is not answered. Try [email protected]. The phone number 684 644 4123 is still good. The web site is https://www.americansamoa.gov/shipyard for the new American Samoa Shipyard authority.
