There are not many services available for yachts in the FSM other than auto mechanics. Occasionally there is a diesel mechanic on an island. The service is so sparse, that the National Police patrol vessels are sent to Australia every 18 months for service and maintenance.
Micronesia is a beautiful paradise with some of the friendliest people I have ever met. Anyone dropping anchor here should feel most welcome; of course their attitude usually will reflect how welcome they feel no matter where they visit.
