Where is Cruz Bay?

Cruz Bay is the main town on St Johns and is location on the west coast. Cruz Bay has a population of 2,900 and is the island's largest commercial centre. The primary access to St. John is through Cruz Bay Harbor and there are frequent barge and ferry traffic.

Entrance notes or cautions

Cruz Bay has several shoal areas and is busy with ferries and barges. It has very limited anchoring spaces and no public moorings.

This is where you’ll find most of the island’s services and infrastructure. The National Park Service has its headquarters near the waterfront in Cruz Bay as does U.S. Customs and Immigration. Post office; bank; stores; restaurants; medical clinic; taxis and car rentals; ferries to other islands.
