For Passport entry stamps, main Police (Politi) station in Bergen directed us to their desk at Bergen airport located in departure hall. Found airport desk closed however called telephone number on sign adjacent and within a few minutes two officers arrived. Part way through process they had to leave to attend a flight arrival closing the desk so process took around two hours; four hours including tram ride from central Bergen.
Officier’s very polite and chatty. Asked for MMSI number but did not ask for any ship’s documents. Told us since Brexit they have a problem with UK visitors arriving by sea and not checking-in, and Norwegian Law requires it.
All-in-all, a nice tram ride through city and check-in process not too arduous.
Thank you Ian for this useful information – I’ve added it to our Bergen page – will be in touch to get some more updates for that port as it’s been a few years since we’ve had feedback.
