News Item Content

EU Naval Force has announced the release of a new website, designed with an attractive new look, user-friendly navigation, interactive facts and figures section, and integration with social media channels.

All the features of the previous website have been retained. In addition, an interactive facts and figures section which contains details of the vessels and hostages currently held by pirates has been added, giving details of reported piracy incidents since 2009, and interactive tables and graphs which can display historical statistics about piracy and Operation Atalanta.

Whether your needs are research, commercial or just personal interest, this new site is a useful tool for finding more information about EU NAVFOR and their work countering piracy off Somalia.

EU NAVFOR ATALANTA

EU Naval Force (EU NAVFOR) Somalia – Operation Atalanta is part of the EU’s comprehensive approach to tackle symptoms and root causes of piracy off the coast of Somalia and the EU Strategic Framework for the Horn of Africa adopted in November 2011.
