I have just returned to Darwin after crewing on a research vessel monitoring the Montaro Gas Spill North West Australia.
Given the continuing slick and dispersant remnants, I would strongly advise desalinators are decommissioned between Darwin and Ashmore Reef for any vessels intending to transit this area.
