The Cook Islands National Environment Service has advised that Suwarrow National Park is now open for visitors until Friday October 16, 2026. All visitors and vessels entering Suwarrow National Park must comply with the Suwarrow National Park Rules and instructions provided by the Park Ranger.
Visitors are reminded that:
- Access to Suwarrow is permitted upon payment of an entrance fee of USD$150
- All vessels must follow the designated anchorage and entry requirements.
- Visitors must complete the required clearance and comply with Customs and Biosecurity requirements.
- The maximum standard stay is 5 days, unless otherwise approved by NES.
- Visitors must not remove shells, coral, birds, eggs, turtles, turtle eggs or other wildlife from the Park.
- Bird and turtle nesting areas must not be entered or disturbed.
- No littering, dumping or discharge of waste is permitted.
- Visitors must take appropriate measures to prevent the introduction of invasive species.
- Visitors must follow all instructions issued by the Suwarrow Park Ranger.
The updated Suwarrow National Park Rules came into effect on 9 June 2026 and strengthen environmental protection, visitor management and biosecurity measures for the atoll.
