The Coconut Telegraph, the eastern Caribbean’s SSB net is moving to 8170 USB every morning at 08:00 AST beginning September 1, 2013.
The net, established originally in 2007, has kept cruisers connected and helped them share information on a 4 megahertz frequency but the net had a limited range. The new frequency should improve range to cover the whole Caribbean Sea up to the Bahamas, down to the north coast of South America and west to Central America. Cruisers who never listened to the net and those who have enjoyed it for years should tune in every morning and try it out. Itis a lot of fun and all are welcome.
For more information contact Harry on Sea Schell on the Coconut Telegraph any morning at 08:00 AST or by email hkschell@gmail.com.
