Vessels over 6.5 meters in height will need to phone or radio a request for the Te Matau a Pohe opening bridge to be raised. Vessels waiting can tie up to pontoons either side of the bridge. Call VHF Channel 18, or phone 09 438 7261 or 021 401 752 to request a lift and obtain instructions. Do not send a text message - CALL only.
