Good anchoring on sandy/mud bottom. Easy walk to small downtown with Main St overlooking LI Sound. Friendly inhabitants. If wind is from northeast, east or southeast a swell can build making anchoring unpleasant. During summer prevailing winds are from the southwest.
Some mooring are available at the private yacht club. Launch service is spotty.
