The port, which is in the river, is busy with fishing boats, commercial craft and ferries, but there is also a marina here.
The entrance to the marina, which is one of the largest on this Adriatic coast, is half a mile south of the river port.
Either berth in the marina as directed, or, if wishing to moor in the river, try the yacht club berths in Porto Canale.
It may also be possible to tie up the the quay opposite the yacht club, near the police launches.
Strong currents (2knts) and debris can be a problem in the river.
The marina offers complete shelter.
