Ramsgate : Profile
When cruising the east coast or the southern North sea, Ramsgate provides a very useful stopover.
With the decline of the ferry and fishing activities, yachting has become very important to the town and it extends a very warm welcome to cruising sailors.
Before entering (or leaving) the harbour, call Ramsgate Port Control on VHF channel 14.
There are 3 marinas. The East and West marinas in the outer harbour are 24 hour access. The inner harbour marina access is 2 ½ hours each side of HW.
Once inside the harbour, call Ramsgate Marina of VHF channel 80 for a berth.
No animals are allowed in Ramsgate Harbour, including the marinas

There is a small toilet block by the security gate of the West marina; two large blocks, containing toilets, showers and laundry facilities, each side of the lifting bridge into the inner harbour. Entry is by key code.
