  Ramsgate : Profile

Docking

When cruising the east coast or the southern North sea, Ramsgate provides a very useful stopover.

With the decline of the ferry and fishing activities, yachting has become very important to the town and it extends a very warm welcome to cruising sailors.

Before entering (or leaving) the harbour, call Ramsgate Port Control on VHF channel 14.

There are 3 marinas. The East and West marinas in the outer harbour are 24 hour access. The inner harbour marina access is 2 ½ hours each side of HW.

Once inside the harbour, call Ramsgate Marina of VHF channel 80 for a berth.

No animals are allowed in Ramsgate Harbour, including the marinas
