Where is Sauteurs?

The town of Sauteurs is located on the northern tip of the island of Grenada.

In the past, the fishing town of 1300 inhabitants wasn’t suitable for anchoring, but the island’s 4.6 million dollar Breakwater Project, which began in July 2016, has resulted in the construction of a 1500ft breakwater running from the eastern shore NW out to the sea and towards the old jetty. The primary purpose of the breakwater was to protect homes and businesses against coastal erosion, however, it has also created a lagoon large enough for several boats to anchor.

Several historic sites are nearby including Carib’s Leap, a large cliff where the last of the island’s indigenous warriors committed suicide by leaping from the cliff.
