Clearance
For full details on clearing into or out of Greece see Greece Formalities.
Clearing in here should take about an hour walking between the three offices – Customs, Police and Harbour Master.

Docking
Moor bows/stern-to the west quay in the inner harbour. The bottom is sand and mud with good holding. Beware of the shallows to port (marked by an unlit beacon) at the entrance to the inner harbour. With the Meltemi blowing, strong gusts will be experienced in the approaches.
The shelter from northwesterly winds is excellent.
The yacht marina here opened in 2009, located just to the east of the outer harbour. Facilities, however, are basic and all supplies and chandlery items must be purchased in town, just over a mile walk along the rough coastal track. Most supermarkets deliver to the marina if you spend over a certain amount.
