  Ayamonte : Profile

Clearance

After completing the usual paperwork in the marina office it is possible that an official may visit the yacht (although this is unlikely in the case of an EU yacht and crew).

Docking

This town is 5 miles upstream of the entrance of the River Guandiana, which marks the border between Spain and Portugal.

The recently enlarged marina is adjacent to the village of Pinillos and is approached via a canal from the river. It is subject to some swell.

Call VHF Ch 09 before entering the basin, or secure to the western-most hammerhead or suitable berth on western-most pontoon. Office hours 0930/1330 and 1600/1700 weekdays - closed Saturday and Sunday afternoons in winter. 24 hour security in addition to electronic pontoon access gates.

There is good anchoring in the area around the marina and easy dinghy access for landing there.
