Wanted to see Castries, and went into an anchor in the designated area in the inner harbor.

We have a modern anchor, but it was impossible to back it in and obtain a secure anchoring.

When retracting the anchor for a new trial, it was every time full of plastic sheets, cloth, and rubbish.
The layer of rubbish must be thick, we tried 3 times without being able to penetrate with the anchor.

I now consider this as an unsuitable area for anchoring overnight. Even if only going in for a daytime visit, be careful and consider the wind.
We were able to anchor at Vigie, but there is not a lot of space there,
and many small ferries shuttling for cruise ships.
