CloseCasa Rosada – the last establishment on the beach as you walk out of town (away from the dinghy dock). In the late afternoons, locals and tourists (and iguanas) gather and play or watch volleyball. They have a daily happy hour special from 17:00 to 19:00 and a book swap.
El Cafetal Cafe Cultural – A nice quiet relaxing place for a drink.
El Faro – 100m north of the main square via Las Fragatas.
La Choza, Cesars, or El Encanto de la Pepe – Serve local food all day. Located on the main square.
Pizzeria Los Delfines – Situated on main square.
Pink Elephant – recommended by cruisers as the perfect place to watch the sunset with a cool drink, a BBQ dinner, and music.

A Danish yacht just arrived Villamil without a prior Autographo and requested a transit call. Had a clearance from Panama with next port Marquesas. Appointed
de Soto as an agent, granted a 20 days stay no problems but a very extensive inspection of the yacht, all equipment and stores/provisions on board. Also reported quite expensive – the total cost close to US$ 1000.
A new Port Captain was appointed in Puerto Villamil mid-March 2014, and to begin with, was interpreting the rules differently and not permitting boats without an Autographo to clear-in there. However, this has now been resolved and boats without an Autographo can once more clear-in at Isabela and be granted a one-island 20-day stay.
