Marin : Profile
Le Marin lies at the head of a deep bay, Le Cul-de-Sac du Marin, on the southern end of Martinique. It has one of the largest mainas in the Caribbean.
Clearance is done at the Customs office in the marina. Both immigration and customs formalities are done at the same time. Unless intending to use the marina, arriving boats usually anchor and take their dinghy to one of the marina pontoons.
Latest reports indicate that clearing in at a rather more relaxed customs post (e.g. Anse Mitan) might be advisable.

There is a great anchorage is to be found just round the Pointe Marin, in the mangroves. A bit tricky to enter, with a short but winding channel surrounded by shallows (and a small yacht wreck to show in the middle), but well worth it. Very good holding, totally protected from all sides, and calm. There is room for no more than 2 or 3 yachts.
