Senj : Profile
This was once an important port and lies on the mainland opposite the southern end of Otok Krk. It is not much visited by yachts due to the strength of the bora here and the open nature of the harbour.
Position 44°59.4'N,14°54.2'E.
It is a year-round Port of Entry.
All the officials are based in the building with the tower on the south quay.
Harbour Master Senj Tel:+385 (0)53 881 301, VHF Channel 10, 16 and 70 Latest weather reports available.
There are several berthing options here and which is chosen will probably depend on the wind direction.
The bora here blows from the ENE and can arrive with little warning.
Possible berths are to be found:-
On the southernside of the northern pier, clear of the ferries.
On the western side of the pier in the SE corner.
Alongside the quay by the harbour office on the southern side.
