Porec : Profile
Another interesting town on a peninusula whose harbour is protected by an island. It lies roughly half way between Umag to the north and Rovinj to the south.
Position 45°13.6'N,13°35.6'E.
All year Port of Entry.
To clear in berth alongside the pier where there is a Customs post.
There is quite a choice of berths close to this town.
There are three marinas; Marina Porec is in the heart of the town, while marina Crvar-Porat is 3 miles to the north in Uvala Lunga and Marina Parentium lies 1 mile to the south in a very sheltered bay.
Due to its popularity, a berth at Marina Porec is best booked in advance.
As an alternative to the marina, it is possible to moor stern-to the N quay (west of the customs pier) or pick up a vistors' mooring outside the marina.
Shelter is good except in NW and SW winds when a surge enters the harbour.
