Kornat (Kornati Islands) : Profile

Location

This is the largest of the Kornati Islands and is about 13 miles long. It is part of a national park and Park regulations apply. See Croatia/Restrictions

Vrulje is a small village in a bay midway down the SW coast of the island.

Position 43°48.6'N, 15°18.5'E (Vrulje).

Docking

The bay provides good shelter. There are several visitors' buoys here or anchor in about 4m, taking a line ashore.

If the anchorage and buoys are full, there is an alternative anchorage in the next bay to the north. Here there is good holding in sand and a depth of 7 to 10m.

There is a National Park reception centre here.

Position - 43°56.20' N, 15°26.70' E
Located north of the ferry pier in the northern part of the town harbor. Approach between the the two large breakwaters protecting both sides of the marina.
360 berths - breakwaters protect the marina from winds but north-westerlies can produce swells in the marina.
Water and electricity hook ups, showers and toilets, telephones, a hotel, a restaurant, various shops (nautical, sport equipment, etc). Fuel just outside the marina. 10ton hoist and most repairs and maintenance.
