The official local currency is the Aruban Florin; however, U.S. dollars are widely accepted. The exchange rate for U.S. dollars is Afl 1.77.

ATMs are widely available and dispense US dollars (US$) and Aruban florins (Afl). Credit cards are accepted at most hotels and restaurants.

For good service, tips are typically 15% to 20% (but check first that a service charge hasn't already been included in the bill).
