A dinghy stolen from a yacht at anchor off Livingston, Rio Dulce was later recovered ransacked, but undamaged.

DETAILS:

A yacht outbound from Rio Dulce anchored off Livingston west of the loading dock. On the second night the in-the-water but chain locked dinghy was stolen while the owner slept onboard.

A report was made to the police/port captain and about a week later the port captain notified the owner that they had found the dinghy – ransacked but not damaged and minus the outboard, dinghy anchor, fishing gear, flares, etc. It was returned to the owner.
