Documents needed are:
- registration certificate
- certificate of competence
- insurance certificate
- crew lists
- radio licence
A list must also be prepared of all dutiable items such as alcohol, tobacco and any movable objects not part of the yacht’s equipment, such as cameras, portable radios, diving equipment or outboard engine.
When clearance is completed, a cruising permit will be issued for a small fee (around US$15) for a 12m (40ft) vessel.
