The Veerhaven is a historic, picturesque harbor located in the centre of Rotterdam, the largest port in The Netherlands.
The Veerhaven is situated on the Nieuwe Maas and is easily accessible for pleasure craft. The harbor has a direct connection to the river. Coming from the sea, there are no bridges or locks.
As well as being a showcase for modern architecture, there are some excellent museums, but the ancient part of the city was destroyed during WW2. Visitors are welcome but are asked to register in advance of their arrival as it is not possible to reserve a specific berth.

Be aware that you are not allowed to enter any other port other than the Veerhaven. It’s very attractive to enter the Maashaven where the SS Rotterdam is berthed and make a nice picture, but this could result in a fine. On the website from the port of Rotterdam, you can find up to date information concerning sailing on the River. In case you need any info please feel free to contact me.
