Description:
Port Louis Lies on the NW coast of Grande Terre and is an attractive small fishing port.
Entrance Notes and Cautions:
The entrance to the port is buoyed, be sure to keep close to the red buoy on entering to avoid the shallows to starboard. Maximum draft is 1.5m.

16° 24.54′ N, 61° 31.95′ W (port entrance)

There is a squad of Customs and Immigration (Police) based here. Take the main road up past the Post Office, then turn right. The office is a couple of buildings along.
This is not an official Port of Entry, although the officials here try to be helpful.

The port here caters for both fishing and pleasure boats.
There is a water tap at the fisherman´s wharf and public outdoor showers close to the beach.
There is an anchorage at the northern end of the town, although it can be subject to swell.
