Georgia Immigration Procedures for Yacht Crew
Passports must be valid at least 3 months on entry and should have 2 free pages.
EU citizens may enter Georgia with a travel document, as well as with an identity card issued by a Member State of the European Union. The identity card shall contain the name, surname, date of birth and a photo of the person.
Do I Need a Visa?
EU citizens and many Commonwealth citizens do not need a visa to enter Georgia. The tourism site provides a list of Countries citizens which do not require a visa to enter Georgia. Citizens from this list may enter Georgia without a Visa for 1 full year (unless otherwise noted). See Georgia Travel List of Visa Free Countries.
If a visa is required, short term visitors should obtain one in advance through the e-Visa Portal. Some Visas can be obtained without having to visit a Georgian Embassy or Consular Office. Even Visas that require a visit to a Georgian Embassy or Consular Office (for example in Istanbul or Trabzon, Turkey) start with the e-Visa Portal application. The system allows to submit e-application for booking time for submission of visa application.
