Georgia Customs Rules for Yachts
A detailed Customs declaration must be completed on arrival, where foreign currency and valuables must be indicated. Keep hold of this declaration until you leave the country.
- The amount of local currency you hold on arrival must not exceed 25,000 GEL, and it is forbidden to export more than 3,000 GEL from the country.
- Jewelry, a good camera, expensive electronics – must be declared.
Other Restricted Items
- Restrictions are also imposed on cigarettes – no more than 2 blocks.
- Drugs cannot be transported across the border of Georgia. As well as weapons and explosives, pornographic and insulting materials to the state.
- All prescription medicines must be accompanied by a doctor’s note and also be declared. Possession of these items, even with a doctor’s prescription could if not declared, or if the quantity held exceeds legal limits, lead to administrative or even criminal proceedings. Check legal quantities of medicines before you travel.
- Firearms must also be declared.
- Pornographic material is prohibited.
