French Subantarctic Territory - Immigration
The French Subantarctic Territory Immigration Procedure for Yacht Crew
All visitors need a passport valid for at least six months (except French nationals).
The French Austral Islands are overseas countries and territories (OCTs), governed by Part IV of the EC Treaty, located outside the territory of the European Union and outside the Schengen area.
The Visa rules closely follow those of mainland France with some exceptions that are specific to the French Austral Islands. The Senior Administrator of the French Austral Isands (TAAF) approves and issues visas. Visas should be requested at least two months prior to the anticipated arrival to the territory.
