Spent many nights in the anchorage north of the George Washington Bridge. Not as bumpy as it is further down river between Westside Manhattan and Liberty. Great holding in mud, but the current is very strong, so be careful launching a dingy or dropping anything overboard. You’ll be pointing up river the whole time, so not much of a need to worry about swing.
