Jon, Megan, Ronan & Daxton have sailed European, Mediterranean and Caribbean waters, circumnavigated South America and sailed in both Antarctica and the Arctic aboard their Boreal 47. A planned 3-5 year sail has extended into an epic adventure with no end in sight. From glistening icebergs to coral filled seas, glorious sunrises to dancing auroras, ancient ruins to climate change, mid-ocean swims to challenging storms and intimate animal encounters, they’ve stretched their horizons and grown as a family. They’ve shared anchorages with polar bears, condors, humpback whales, orcas, belugas, eagles, walruses, guanacos, albatrosses, otters, sea lions and more. Following the wakes of many great explorers, they still have much to discover.
