Yachts should anchor in the inner harbour flying the Q flag and await customs, immigration and port health officials. Port officials usually work 0700-1700.

Afterwards it is possible to anchor off the Dar es Salaam Yacht Club in Msasani Bay, six miles north of the main harbour.
