  Emden : Profile

Location

A busy ferry port on the east bank of the river Ems, which marks the border with The Netherlands. Being an industrial town, not the most attractive place to visit.

Docking

There are several berthing options. One is the yacht club on the seaward side of the Nesserland lock and there are several more through the lock into the city centre.

Beyond the City Marina is the Ems-Jade canal (clearance 3.75m, depth 1.7m), leading the 40 miles to Wilhelmshaven.
