Brunsbuttel : Profile
Brunsbuttel lies on the northern bank of the River Elbe at the entrance to the Kiel Canal.
Good shelter in Alter Hafen, which is a drying harbour with access 3hr +/- HW. It is just north of the locks.
A lock gives access to Kanal-Yachthafen (NW of the large Neue locks) and to a second yacht haven about half a mile further up stream. There are no moorings in the waiting area for the canal.
The town has a hospital, banks, post office, provision shops and a train station.

Kanal Yachthafen This yacht haven is close to the Neue locks. It provides good shelter but is noisy.
