Clearance

A self-styled agent named "Maketse" has been serving yachts for over 10 years. He will come to your boat in a pirouge and offer a stack of recommendation letters by way of introduction. He helps with clearance formalities and can provide tours of Mutsamudu and of Anjouan. He will also arrange security for your yacht and dinghy while ashore. With Maketse as a guide through the clearance procedures, there were absolutely no suggestions of additional "fees" and all procedures were handled (relatively) quickly.
