Location

This Chile's most northern city and is just 12 miles from the Peruvian border. It is a major commercial seaport.

Clearance

Contact the port captain on Channel 16 and follow berthing instructions.

Check in here is reported to be friendly and the Armada most helpful. A sanitary inspection is required here at a cost of USD 120.

Docking

Contact the Yacht Club on VHF Ch 16 for assistance; they will send the club launch as a guide to the anchorage. Visiting yachts are charged US$10 per day for anchoring and US$25 a day for a mooring buoy, which includes the use of the launch.
