DETAILS: 

A catamaran was stolen from its slip at Green Cay Marina, St. Croix. The owners discovered the yacht missing during a routine visit and alerted authorities.

The yacht was recovered later that night while underway by US Customs and Border Patrol and taken to the Customs dock in St. Thomas. The thief was taken into custody by the Virgin Islands Police Department.

On return to their yacht the owners found that to gain access to the locked yacht the thief had used a crowbar to smash the glass out of the (locked) sliding door.
