Yachts anchored close to Princess Margaret Beach continue to be boarded by swimmers intent on theft. These victims had locked their main hatch but not locked all deck hatches, which was how the intruder gained entry.

DETAILS: 

Owners were away from their yacht anchored off Princess Margaret beach for 30 minutes, and returned at 2000 HRS to find a swimmer onboard. The cockpit was lit and the door locked. He had entered through a closed but not locked hatch. He immediately jumped overboard and swam to the beach. A police report was made.

CSSN NOTE: This is the third boarding/theft reported at this location in the last few weeks.
