Saint Lucia, Soufriere: Items Stolen from Yacht on Mooring

A yacht that had just arrived in Soufriere, Saint Lucia and taken a mooring was boarded while the crew were visiting friends on a neighbouring yacht and a number of items were stolen including cash and credit cards.

DETAILS:

A yacht arrived in Soufriere and took a mooring. They visited friends on a neighboring yacht for about 2 hours that evening. They did not lock the yacht and on their return discovered that they had been boarded. The thief entered the salon and stole cash, credit cards and a phone which had been left on a table. A report was made in person to the local police. The police and a Soufriere Marine Management Area (SMMA) ranger then visited the yacht.
